Churer Rheintal: Real estate prices continue to rise!

A house or a condominium continue to be at the top of the wish list of many Graubünden residents. This is no different in the Rhine Valley in Chur, as the unbroken demand for residential property confirms. Since the turn of the millennium, sales prices per square meter of living space have doubled in many places, but a reversal of the trend is not to be expected.

"The appeal of the Chur Rhine Valley continues unabated. Therefore, prices for residential property are expected to continue to rise, although transaction prices are already quoted at above-average levels."

Currently, around CHF 7,500 per square meter of living space is paid for upscale condominiums in the four municipalities of the Bündner Herrschaft and in four of five municipalities in and around Landquart (with the exception of Untervaz). In Chur, an upscale condominium costs CHF 9,000 per square meter, while in the Imboden region it is at least CHF 6,000. For single-family homes in the mid-range segment, one must calculate with just under CHF 8,000 in the Bündner Herrschaft, and between CHF 7,000 and CHF 8,500 in the Landquart region. In Chur, upscale single-family homes change hands for around CHF 10,000, while in the Imboden region sales prices of CHF 6,000 to CHF 8,000 per square meter of living space are achieved. In some cases, significantly more is paid for luxury properties in all segments and municipalities.
