Location
The pastoral, friendly town of Egg is home to a good 8,000 inhabitants. It is situated just off the autobahn through the Forch pass to Zurich and Hinwil, between Lake Greifensee and the Pfannenstiel recreation area.
Transportation
Thanks to the Forchbahn railway, Egg has a direct link to Zurich City. The S18 S-Bahn travels the 26-minute route to Zurich-Stadelhofen every 15 minutes. By car, one can reach the cities of Zurich, Uster, and Rapperswil within 10 to 15 minutes. The drive to Meilen is equally as short. From there, the ferries depart every 10 minutes for Horgen, on the left banks of Lake Zurich.
