Prices for residential real estate in some regions have increased significantly in the last twelve months. According to the current transaction price index from Fahrländer Partner, condominium prices in the Zurich region rose by 7.4% within a year. In the top segment, prices even rose by 10.8%. The prices of single-family homes increased by 5% in the same period; here the middle price segment was the most robust. A similar situation exists in the Alpine region: condominiums achieved an increase in value of 4.7%, single-family houses 3.8%. However, not all regions benefited to the same extent from this development. The canton of Ticino, for example, is one of the losers, with negative price trends of -1.7% (condominiums) and -4.1% (single-family homes), while the German part of Switzerland has seen strong growth. These opposing price trends, with differences of over 10% within Switzerland, create new opportunities, especially in the south of Switzerland.
