Swiss Made with Global Influence
Since early childhood, art has been a part of the life of Carla Hohmeister, who hails from Bad Ragaz and still spends a lot of time in the region with family and friends. The Hohmeister family created Switzerland's largest open-air sculpture exhibition over twenty years ago and they are still its owners today: Bad Ragartz is the name of the well-known exhibition that attracts art lovers from near and far every three years. After her training as a 3D poly designer, Carla worked as a stage assistant at the Zurich Opera House and continued her education at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada in the 1990s. Today she lives as a freelance artist with her partner and their two children in Dietikon.
Rare motifs full of power
With her mountain paintings, Carla Hohmeister pays homage to her original homeland. And she does it with the strength of the strong woman she has become and at the same time with almost archaic exuberance. With colors outside the spectrum expected for these motifs and contrasts that break the usual harmony of nature images and thus get the thoughts going without wanting to be confrontational. Very aesthetic, not very authentic. A well-dosed and desired alienation that makes you forget the time, if you let yourself fall under its spell and accept the effect.
Ginesta - a perfect match
The pictures selected for our exhibition, which have only been shown to the public once before, namely at the Museum Bickel in Walenstadt, represent the Ginesta world in an ideal way. With our offices in the Unterland and in the mountains, with our classic way of marketing real estate, which we have paired with the most modern digital technologies, and with our strong sense for the beauty in life: Carla's images are like a translation of the Ginesta core into art. With different shades and intensities, just as our employees bring them. And so each and every one of us at Obere Wiltisgasse 52 in Küsnacht has a personal favorite, on which our gaze lingers a little longer than on the others as we pass by.
Open to art lovers
You can decide for yourself which of the paintings is your favorite. The paintings will be on display at Ginesta's headquarters until December 2023. And if you particularly like one of the works, it may soon be hanging in your home.
