The determination of local or district rates of rent chargeable under the terms of the relevant clause of the Swiss Federal Code of Obligations (Art. 269a Buchstabe a OR) depends on comparable rates levied for residential and commercial space of a similar location, size, standard of finish, condition, and construction period (refer also to the regulations governing the letting and leasing of residential and commercial space, Art. 11 VMWG).
