Rüschlikon is home to roughly 5,400 inhabitants. It lies just six kilometers away from Zurich City, on the left banks of Lake Zurich between Kilchberg and Thalwil. The town covers a stretch land that spans the area between Lake Zurich, across Zimmerberg mountain and over to Sihl river.Rüschlikon has the best connections to the region’s private transportation network via the A3 autobahn connection toward Zurich or Chur.

Public transportation

The S8 and the S24 lines of the S-Bahn take Rüschliker (as locals of Rüschlikon are called) to Zurich Central Station at 10-minute and 20-minute intervals, arriving in downtown Zurich in 15 minutes. The local bus network is responsible for the connection. If you take the No. 165 bus, you can reach Bürkliplatz within 20 minutes. This square is where all the elegant stores and boutiques along Bahnhofstrasse begin.A ride on the passenger ferry is a guaranteed pleasure for those with a penchant for atmosphere. The boat departs from Rüschlikon Municipal Dock and arrives at Bürkliplatz in just 28 minutes.
