Kilchberg, home to around 9,000 residents, is the first community on the left banks of Lake Zurich to border the city of Zurich, and is part of the District of Horgen.

Public transportation

Kilchberg Train Station provides access to Zurich via the S8 and S24 S-Bahn lines (municipal railway, about 13 minutes travel) and to the lakeside communities along the left banks of Lake Zurich.You can get to the heart of Zurich City in 17 minutes with bus line 165 to Bürkliplatz, which opens up to Bahnhofstrasse and its variety of elegant stores and boutiques.And for those who prefer a more atmospheric form of travel, the ships/ferries will take you from the Kilchberg Dock to Bürkliplatz in just 20 minutes.

Schools
